Malaika Adero

MALAIKA ADERO is a veteran editor and cultural leader in trade publishing. Most recently, she was vice president/senior editor at Atria Books, a division of Simon and Schuster, where she held numerous editorial positions for more than 18 years. She was a founder of Amistad Press (now HarperCollins) and served as its Executive Editor from 1992 - 1996. She has served on the board of Poets & Writers and founded the literary organization Up South. She lives in New York City and Atlanta, Georgia.
