Adele Alexander

Adele Logan Alexander is a scholar on African American history and women's studies. She is the granddaughter of Adella Hunt Logan of whom she was named after. She is the mother of poet Elizabeth Alexander and the wife of Clifford Alexander, the first African American US Secretary of the Army. Adele is a graduate of Radcliffe College and Howard University. Her work as been featured in Ms., The Washingtonian, and The Washington Post.
